Hello All,

I am in the process of submitting an I-130 application for my dad and found out that my father's DOB on my birth certificate is different than the rest of his documents (marriage certificate, divorce certificate,..etc). How do I explain this error? Should I change my birth certificate?

Since you need to submit your birth certificate AND his marriage certificate with the I-130, I would think that the birthdate discrepancy would likely get you a RFE. My best suggestion is to try to get your birth certificate re-issued in Ethiopia with the correct information prior to submitting your I-130.
