Hi everyone,

I am currently waiting for my K1 Visa and K2 Visas for my two youngest children. My fiance is a US Citizen. We are about 4 1/2 months into that process and hope to move to the States in October.

My oldest daughter is 21 years old. She is currently going to be staying in Canada when we move... but what options do we have to bring her to the USA if she wants to come after she is done school?

Could she get a student visa if she wishes to further her education in Texas? I'm just not sure of our options at the moment, and how long the process would be to get her to the States.

Your help is appreciated. :)

She could get a student visa. She would have to provide evidence she doesn't intent to immigrate. You could apply for her as the unmarried over-21 child of an LPR if she wants to move here permanently. She'd have to stay unmarried and the wait is many years.

10.25.2010 - RFE received per USCIS
10.26.2010 - Text/email received - AP approved!
10.28.2010 - Biometrics appointment received, dated 10/22 - set for 11/19 @ 3:00 PM
11.01.2010 - Successful biometrics walk-in @ 9:45 AM; EAD card sent for production text/email @ 2:47 PM! I-485 case status now available online.
