My case is at the VSC...my wife and I are at 189 days today. Frustrating since at least 28 people on this site that are also in the VSC and received their first NOA1 later than December 5, have already received their approval.

Of the 28 filing after 12/05/2012 (my date), those that received their NOA2:

The average wait time, 109 days.

The median wait time, 112 days.

The longest wait time, 157 Days from India. (01/03/2012 - 06/08/2012)

The shortest wait time, 57 Days from Dominican Republic. (12/06/2011 - 02/01/2012, interview 04/02/2012 - 118 days)

I wish I could get an explanation as to why there is so much discrepancy, and why mine (and many others) is taking so much longer.

The lack of communication and transparency with Immigration is as frustrating than the actual wait itself.

Yes, I received an "Under review" status and that I should receive a decision "within 60 days". That was 34 days ago, May 8. I must have gotten all the new recruits getting on-the-job training for all phases of this process. Actually, if they are doing background checks on my wife and relying upon Venezuelan government to process any requests, well, that is where our holdup is for sure. They are terribly slow down there. I really just wish I KNEW what was happening. The generic responses. The non-informative responses. The responses to questions I never asked. That is bothersome. It's not just the USCIS, it's my Representative's office as well.

My saving grace is, she got here last night on a B1/B2 visa. Seeing her in person for a little while helps tremendously!

early March.

I was expecting the NAO2 in 2 to 3 months.

now I am expecting the NAO2 in 2 to 3 months starting today though!

we all need to group together and find out how much longer we are going to be put on hold!

maybe we should all go and drive to the VSC and form a road block?

I'd like to see them finish December 2011 first! Today is Day 198! (6.5 months) Day 43 out of 60 for my so-called "expedite" service request made on May 8. Uggggh!

Natural born US Citizen.

No Criminal record.

Always pay my taxes.

Not even a traffic ticket that wasn't reduced to a parking ticket since 1993.

Nobody in my immediate family has a criminal record.

Nobody in my extended family has a criminal record. (Cousins, aunts, uncles)

Yet for some reason, I seemingly am blacklisted. I just don't get it, and not knowing the reason for the disproportionate response time drives me mental! Maybe it's because I'm a registered Republican and I am anti-illegal alien? Grasping at straws here.

Can you go direct in person to see someone? how about your local immigration office? I have visited one before and got to speak with someone about the I-130 Packet. They are set up just like a court house. They have a metal detector and have you empty your pockets, etc... (I wonder why? the snap factor I guess, lol )
