Hi,

My wife and I are getting ready to leave for China and I just wanted to make sure I have all the documents ready. I am the petitioner, filing for a CR2 visa for my stepdaughter and we plan on getting the medical exam once we arrive Guangzhou.

1. Original DS230 Part 1 and Part 2

2. Copy of Beneficiary's passport

3. Notarized and translated copy of birth certificate of beneficiary

4. I-864 Form

5. Petitioner Proof of employment

6. Petitioner Statement of Earnings, YTD Earnings

7. Petitioner W-2s (2009-2011)

8. Petitioner Tax Return Transcripts (2009-2011)

9. Packet 3

10. Packet 4

11. Petitioner Original Birth Certificate

12. Original Marriage Certificate (petitioner/wife)

13. Bank Statements (showing both our names)

14. Phone Records (showing our phone logs)

15. 100 photos of petitioner/wife and 60 photos of petitioner/wife/beneficiary

16. Credit Cards of petitioner/wife (same number), driver's licenses of petitioner/wife (same home address), Macy's credit cards of petitioner/wife (same number)

17. Original and translated Death Certificate of wife and ex-husband

18. Original and translated Divorce Certificate of wife and ex-husband

19. Original birth certificate of beneficiary

20. Passport of beneficiary

21. Passport photos of beneficiary

22. Medical History Records

23. Pictures of wife and beneficiary

IMO, that's the one thing missing (or you've listed it in another way)

I assume that yer gonna get some letter from the biological father (or have other documents about it) where he gives his daughter permission to immigrate to the USA (or relinquishes parental rights, however it's worded)

Thanks, I noticed I made an error. The biological father has passed away so we have a certified and notarized death certificate. Also, my wife has a document giving her permission to bring the girl to the US. Looks like we are covered, so thanks!!!
