ASC Appointment notice -I 765

Got an appointment notice for Gretchen. She has biometrics this week on Wednesday. This notice is for EAD appointment. and does not say biometrics anywhere on the notice. Advises to bring notice and photo id. Anyone ever seen this? Any ideas? We are going to ask the office when we go in this Wednesday about it, but curious. It is not for AOS (I-485)

if its a notice it should say what it is about. I have my notice clearly states "to have your biometrics taken".

yes, read it again.... in small print on first line it says biometrics....Then it has bold print about appearing for appointment. Have to really read that first line carefully. it says may have to capture your biometrics in small print at the very right hand side of the form.... So guess we go this week AND next week..... geez....

You have two separate biometric appointments or you have to go in twice for two different things? The first time you go in you could take everything you need with you and ask if you can do everything while you're already there maybe? Also, if she has no government issue id in her married name then make sure you take marriage certificate too.

whole point of getting EAD is so we can get her SSN. We are hoping before she goes into the hospital to have the baby, but may be close.

2 seperate Biometrics appointments. One for AOS this week, and one for EAD next week. They might be able to combine them. However, it seems something is "fouled" up in the system. I don't want one of them re3jected for not showing up.

yeah, i would take both letters and ask to have it done all at once, I read about someone else a little while ago who was able to do that. Can't remember what state they were in though, could very well have been from here.

got BOTH letters stamped and signed today. :dance: No going back next week for the other appointment.

It was fun.... I think the guard was trying to taake bets on when my wife would deliver.... He thinks two weeks is all she has left. According to timeline we have nearly 5 weeks left. He also asked if she brought some pancit... she just smiled at that one.... The guard had dated a Filipina in the past.... I must say it was very weird for me. (I was on the phone with someone and couldn't get off, so she went in ahead of me.) I got in just in time to make sure she gave both letters with the form she filled out, and got both letter stamped. The longest process was the waiting.... hardly anyone there.... but what a long wait. The clock on the wall is behind you, have to turn to see it, and the TV is mounted nearly 10 feet in the air....and on some "news" channel but not Fox, CNN, or anything else I can think of....

haha, that's pretty funny. Everyone there seems pretty friendly. Do you guys know yet if you will have to have interview? We did, as a really long wait (about an hour and a half or so after appointment time) but the the guy who did our interview was really nice!

Oh, and i had the same thing with my biometrics, hardly anyone else there yet still had to wait a while.

Don't know on interview. I had to wait outside in the waiting area while they took her back for the biometrics... the only thing she was told, was she was fine and not to worry. WE were number 65 at 11 am. they were only at number 59. Took a while. She had only shown the one letter for the appointment that day, not both. I was quick to add in the other letter when I saw it. The person at the desk was glad I showed both letters. It saved them time as well as us.

I must say they did a good job soundproofing the building.... it is right in the flight path and those jets are very noisy. Don't let the friendliness of the guards fool you. One wrong move and you are going to federal prison or getting a one way ticket out of the USA...doesn't take long to get to the airport from there. After he commented about the the pancit . I noted the lack of food around the place and commented about such a small office area inside for such a huge building. He said this is not just an office...I joked "Sheriff Joe" must keep them very busy.... and they probably feed those waiting deportation Burger King and pub grub until time to leave....

side note... never say or yell "hielo" in Phoenix.....
