Good Morning all,

I have a question please my fiance is pregnant shes a US Citizen by birth and im from the UK we were planning on marrying anyway but what would you suggest i do needless too say i have under 9 months to get something sorted i want to move there and live there with her as a husband and father.

It is possible but unlikely you will get a fiance or spousal visa in time, as it is more like 7-9 months until the birth. You can use the Visa Waiver program to visit for the big ultrasound, birth etc.

In general, fiance visas are a bit faster (but more expensive, and you can't work for several months after you arrive in the US), so if speed is of the essence, have your US fiance petition for the K1.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

You can either apply for a fiance visa or quickly take a trip to America to get married then apply for a spousal visa. Either way you're highly unlikely to be living in America by the time the baby arrives, but you will be there soon after. You can use the Visa Waiver Program to visit whilst you wait.

The reason you might choose to marry and apply for the spousal visa is if it will be important that you can work once you arrive in America. So you need to consider your financial situation etcetc.
