Timeline

I'm a little confused as i am reading so many different things about the nvc process. OKAY after i get the nvc case # is that when i can have my husband email them the choice of agent form making me the person who receives all case correspondence? also i have more questions but this question will determine my next question... help pls...also he is in Lagos.

6/21/12: DS-3032 acceptance email received

6/22/12: Immigrant visa fee invoice email received

7/01/12: I-864 (AOS) package sent to NVC

8/24/12: RFE sent to NVC

10/5/12: IV Bill paid

10/20/12: DS-230 package sent to NVC

11/13/12: case complete with NVC

11/26/12: case @ embassy in Nigeria

12/26/12:NTERVIEW SCHEDULED for 01/23/13!!! WHOOOOWHOOO

12/31/12: sent documents needed for interview to hubby through DHL

01/10/13: Hubby medical exam completed

Once you have your case number - you and your husband case send a mail to NVC asking them to make you the agent.

There is an email format - hopefully you have seen it on some pages.

Hi Queen-O I had a question about this same form today and I posted in the Nigerian portals. The form you are referring to is DS-230 part I and II? if so, then he has to fill it out both parts I and II and sign only part I and send you the original to be submitted to NVC with your other documents. Good luck!

Hi Queen-O I had a question about this same form today and I posted in the Nigerian portals. The form you are referring to is DS-230 part I and II? if so, then he has to fill it out both parts I and II and sign only part I and send you the original to be submitted to NVC with your other documents. Good luck!

Nope, she is speaking of the DS-3032, "Choice of Address and Agent"

Once you have your case number - you and your husband case send a mail to NVC asking them to make you the agent.

so then i would have to send the nvc his birth certificate, police records, and another copy of the marriage certificate before the interview at the consular? i thought those r things he takes with him to the interview? I need some lagos specific help pls!!

Photocopy of the beneficiary's passport biographic data page

Original/certified copy of beneficiary’s and petitioner’s marriage certificate ( i have this )

Original police certificate(s) of the beneficiary

and i send it to the nvc as this is the iv package?

Yes...but you wouldn't send this until you get a notice from NVC first saying that they accept you as the Agent of Choice and the IV Package is marked as PAID.

It's been awhile, but I'm sure someone will come along and correct me if I'm wrong.
