Form OF-169 question

I'm not sure what this part means:

When it is possible for me to receive an appointment to make formal visa application, I intend to apply: (check appropriate boxes)

1.Alone

2.Together with my spouse (Print first name: )

3.Together with my spouse and the following minor children: (Print first names of each child who will accompany you)

The reason I don't know is - my wife is the only one who needs the green card... so, it seems she should check box #1. However, she will be coming with our daughter, who is an American Citizen - with a SSN and USA passport (thus my daughter does not need a green card). So perhaps it should be #3? But if so, I need to go to the appointment? Bit confused here.

We're waiting on the NOA2, but I'm trying to get prepared so that we can hit the ground running when we get it.

Your daughter does not "count" for this, she is not "applying" for anything with this application. Number 1
