Spouse in India going to medical school and living in a college hostel. Comes home (different city but same state) on the weekends or whenever possible.

How to answer question Q# 30 on DS 230 : List all the places you have lived since age 16

City1 (hostel) aug 2007 to Present

City2(where parents live) jan 2004 to Present

Can we have Present in both lines?

Do we just put the city2 where her real home is?

Do we need to put city where she lives in the college hostel?

Thank you.

Anyone please reply to my post. Thanks.

Does she live in the same address and city since 16? If not the address of the hostel since she moved there to present and then the address from 16 until she moved to the hostel or any other address before that!! simple :bonk:

Yes if are different cities you have to put it down!!

She lived at home(city 1) full time from birth till she got admission to medical school.

Since 2007 she lives in the medical college hostel(city 2) and goes home(city 1)pretty much everyweekend and holidays and when there is no classes.

To me she lives part time in both places(home and hostel). What do you think? How should we fill DS 230 Q:30 in this situation?

I called NVC and said to put hostel info on a separate sheet of paper and explain? Would that work?

Thanks.

To me permanent address is your home(residence). Hostel to me is a temporary boarding facility during school. Isn't it?

Does she sleep?eat?live and get post there? so it's a address isn't?If the hospital need to get in contact with her they send letters to her parent's house?:wacko::blink:
