Hi,

I have my green card for 5 years and now thinking about applying for US citizenship. I am still Chinese citizen at this moment.

All I need to do is filing a form N-400, sending copy of my green card, photos, check then preparing for English and civic tests correct?

Do they require other documents, eg. birth certificate, etc.?

Thanks!!

Kassy

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

Do not forget to take a photocopy of both the back and the front of the green card.

There is no need for a birth certificate.

Who knows for sure, another person on this board says they are insisting on having five years of tax returns for the five year. Or more recently, proof you paid a 40 year parking ticket.

Instructions state you only need your application, check, two passport photos they no longer use and a copy of both sides of your green card. All you need to bring in his your foreign passport to verify your out of country status and green card. But who knows what else your IO will ask for based on his/her feelings, prejudices, or doubts.

Just wonder if you had an attorney present, if they would even ask for anything additional than what's required. Can't argue this yourself, that would put you in really deep trouble. Just have to wait and see what happens.

Good luck is not having bad weather, no traffic accidents or delays in road construction, and getting a fair and decent IO.
