Ok, I'm confused. Ice's passport expires in a year, but by that time he'll have a green card. Will he get a new Thai passport and if so, how? Or a US passport? Or just have a green card??

Currently.... they have issued Ice the incorrect GC and we have tried 4 times to fix it. First time they had us send it to the incorrect address. Second time they said we used an expired form, which was the form they gave us. Third time was "oh sorry we lost the last page, can you send it again?." Fourth time is the gov is shut down. Will this ever be corrected in time for Ice to get the permanent GC? Stay tuned to find out. T_T

he cant get an u.s passport because he isnt yet a citizen. he can file at the embassy from thailand a new passport. he still has his green card. the green card is for his status.

so most countries u can send ur passport to the emabssy in the state and file for a new passport.

He doesnt have to go to the embassy. He can send his current info to them with the required fees to be issued a Thai passport. Check their web site for more info or give them a call.

I assume you know he doesnt need a passport at all unless he is returning to Thailand.

yes he doesnt has to go there. he can just send the passport in and has to pay the fee..
