2 Weeks from now my interview for F2B visa immigrant is scheduled at Islamabad Embassy Pakistan. But I need my passport back right after interview as I have to travel since I am currently on job in Saudi Arabia.

Does anyone know what is the procedure to request the embassy to give the passport back? I heard that after interview the embassy staff normally retains your passport for few months for Administrative Processing etc.

I made various enquiries both via email and on phone but no response.

If anyone please share info on this it will be a great help.

Thanks

I would suggest mentioning this to them at your interview. If they need the passport, they can simply make a copy of it and give it back to you, or something similar to that. This shouldn't cause you any difficulty. The main reason why they keep the passport is so that when the Visa is issued they then can send it to print right away. This will just change how they do that. This must be common question for them and they will accomodate you as best as possible.

Good Luck!
