I-130 Approved, need help

Hello all. My wife's I-130 petition was approved on April 23rd, 2012 after waiting just over 5 months! It's a big relief, but now I need help on the next step. I read a great guide here on Visa Journey, but I have a question about something. The guide recommended that I wait a week or so after the NOA2 to contact the NVC and inquire about the Case Number. I know that my wife's petition was accepted because the USCIS site gave me an approval message when I entered the receipt number, saying something to the effect of "On April 23rd we mailed you a notice stating that we have approved this petition". Is this message the NOA2? Do I contact the NVC 1 week after reading this? Or do I wait until I get the hardcopy in the mail? Also, for the NOA1 I received an e-mail notification, whereas the NOA2 I did not; I found out from the USCIS case tracking site. Please anyone who could point me in the right direction, feel free to let me know what I need to do. Thank you all in advance for your quick replies!

Paul

Please read LingChe's shortcuts to NVC

Your NOA2 will be mailed to american home

You will get a case number in 2-4 weeks

Good Luck

Call NVC everyday and ask if you have a case number yet

Always speak to an operator

But be prepared to wait a few weeks till you get the number. Until then read and start getting all the paperwork ready to send in
