Updates on GZO Electronic Processing

Thought I'd post a few ways that my experience with EP in NVC has been different from the guides and earlier posts about peoples' experiences (which have been really helpful). If others have things to add that would be great, too. Hope I'm not repeating anything.

1. My OPTIN email was processed and answered almost immediately, the same morning I sent it I received confirmation that I was enrolled in electronic processing and given my new number. Actually, I made a typo in my wife's birth date in the original email, and had to send it again. The second email was processed within an hour. Also, the non-fillable bar-coded DS-3032 that NVCinquiry sent worked fine, although I probably would have gone with the fill-able form in the EP guide if I'd been paying more attention because my hand-writing is atrocious.

2. The payment portal immediately recognized my new GZO number. I can also still log-in with the old GUZ number, but there is now a red box reminding me that the case number has changed.

3. Documents emailed to NVCelectronic are processed every weekday by a contractor (generally before 11 east coast time), and confirmation is sent that the attachments have been added to my file and flagged for review. The actual review seems to be taking about 5 days at this point (judging from the DS-3032 and the AOS). Every email to NVCelectronic is confirmed immediately by an auto-response, and then when the contractor processes the file they send confirmation that it's been accepted and will be reviewed.

Thanks ! I need to update it this weekend, it's been a loooong time.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.
