I was waiting inline to be scheduled for an interview since a month and a half, today I get a status update saying : On April 13, 2012, we mailed you an appointment notice to have your fingerprints taken. Please follow the instructions on the notice.

I thought I didnt require fingerprinting because I was already placed inline for interview scheduling. Now I have moved back from Testing and Interview to Initial review

any ideas guys what exactly is happening?

You should post this in one of the Adjustment of Status sections. This is the citizenship section and we're in an almost 2-year-old thread you resurrected from the dead tongue.png

Pick the appropriate forum between these two:

Adjustment of Status (Green Card) from Family Based Visas

Adjustment of Status from Work, Student, & Tourist Visas

And please fill out your timeline when you get the chance, this will help improve the advice you get!
