Hi,

We have finally come to the visa interview---just two weeks remaining!!!!

I'm putting everything together so I am ready. Any last minute advise for the Nairobi Embassy would be helpful.

I'm hoping that my voluntary cancellation of B2 visa wen I was denied entry in Detroit (Nov 2009) will not be an issue.

We did not have any hitches with USCIS or NVC.

Would appreciate your tips.....

Thx.

From my experience in Nairobi, applicants who were denied entry previously or who applied but did not obtain B2 visas were very aggressively interviewed and many were denied due to not having enough evidence and their prior attempt. Especially, those who were in a relationship with a US citizen but applied for the B2. I would just be very prepared for any and all inquiries for everything is documented in the computer systems. This will be brought up.

Be sure to have every piece of possible evidence including petitioners passport stamps, pictures, letters, chat/phone logs, money transfers and much more. You need to know the petitioner as if you were together forever.

Please read through the Nairobi Embassy Thread...it's chock full of good advice and what to be concerned about with the Nairobi Embassy. Be confident and have EVERYTHING you could possibly need with you. Be organized...so that if they ask you for something you can just hand it right over to them. If you are interviewed by the blond woman, be prepared...she's a PIECE OF WORK. I strongly urge you to read through the Nairoby Embassy Thread...it pretty much covers everything and all sorts of experiences that all of us have had. GOOD LUCK TO YOU...let us know how you do. Stay blessed and focused and I'm sure you'll be just fine. :star:

Thank you for the information.

I have compiled as much secondary evidence as possible and have looked through the Kenyan portal.

Thankfully my husband has been to Kenya four times.....the first time he was here for 5.5 months. I will request him for the passport stamps, coz that's what I don't have right now. He was last here in December and stayed for 4 weeks.

We have lots of photos with his and my family.

Hoping for the best....

Jill---what is the best way to present the photos...in an album or in separately labeled envelopes. i have placed envelopes in various small envelopes with labels so that its easy to identify photos of different situations and places / times where we are together, with family, etc

I put ours in a small photo album, but Ben was not asked for any. Sometimes they ask...sometimes they don't. I think I would put them in a small album (take a bunch from each envelope) so you've got every envelope covered inside the album, LOL. You sound very organized and your husband has visited a lot. I wouldn't think you would have any problems. Just my thoughts :star: One more thing...please read "Jay and Maureen's" review of the Embassy...it's on their profile page. I think that would be very helpful to you. Look at the questions asked during her interview. They made it through with NO issues whatsoever :D

Yes, 13 days. I bet you simply cant wait. I know how we felt the days before...then the night before. It's such an anticipated day. Surround it with love, grace, and joy, and you'll come out shining. Ben and I wish you the best.

Good luck msichana.

Just be ready to answer all the questions they will ask you. Am sure a previous denial will raise so many questions but just be super confident and avoid twisting the answers. Remember every single detail you provided in your previous interview coz any irregularities will raise a lot of issues. Remember that they already have you on their files.Just be straight forward and organized with your evidence. All the best.
