Hi everyone, almost done with all our requirements and need to work on our cover letter now. So a quick background, I am filing for an Adjustment of Status from my Visitor B1/B2 status thru my USC husband. I am filing I-485, I-130, I-131 and I-765 altogether.

I'm a little confused when it comes to putting together the cover letter as everyone seems to have different ideas. Hope you guys could help me out:

- What exactly do I put in as address for the cover letter -- just USCIS, Department of Homeland Security, etc? I'm seeing different answers on the forums for this one. :s

- What exactly should I put for Nature of Submission? Original Submission of I-485 with concurrent filing of I-130, I-131 and I-765 -- is this right?

- When making the cover letter, do I make 1 for the entire packet listing the forms, then cover letters for each form, too, listing the requirements falling under each?

And lastly, I saw instructions on the VJ Assembly Guide to mark both the envelope and the cover letter as to the nature of submission and the form. Where exactly on the envelope do I put this detail?

It really does not matter because you don't have to do it...

Put the address you are sending it to and do either one main cover lette, two seperate cover letters, or a main one and two seperate together...

There is no right or wrong...

July 2005 - met my awesome, hot, amazing love in Lousiana.
July 2006 - Married said love and moved to Canada.
June 2011 - Entered US to visit family, decided to stay.
Feb. 2012 - Sent paperwork to Chicago.

May 2012 - Received green card.

Day 0 - Package sent to Chicago Lockbox - 02/27/2012
Day 2 - UPS Tracking Confirmation - 02/29/2012
Day 4 - NOA Emails Received - 03/02/2012
Day 7 - All Checks Cashed - 03/05/2012
Day 11 - Hard Copy NOA's Received - 03/09/2012
Day 11 - Biometrics Appointment Received - 03/09/2012
--------- - Booked for - 04/03/2012 (day 36)
Day 35 - Early Biometricts Walk-in - 04/02/2012
Day 44 - Received Appointment Letter - 04/11/2012
Day 58 - EAD Approval Online - 04/25/2012
Day 63 - EAD in the mail - 04/30/2012
Day 65 - EAD in hand - 05/02/2012
Day 77 - AOS Interview - 05/14/2012
Day 77 - AOS Approved!
Day 84 - Green Card In Hand - 05/21/2012

You can use mine if you search through my content....and make it your own. That's what I did-I took some examples from others and made it mine.

06/25/12-2 Year Green Card Approved

05/13/14-Mailed ROC

05/15/14-NOA Receipt Date

05/19/14-Check posted to account and NOA received in mail

I did not...it is not instructed by uscis and they will quickly figure it out.
