Does anyone know if the US citizen is allowed to attend the K1 interview with the beneficiary fiance at the embassy in Jamaica? I have a ways to go, but wanted to know what the rules are presently.

K1
VSC NOA1 --- March 8, 2012
NOA2 --- October 11, 2012
Visa Approved --- December 17, 2012
POE --- December 22, 2012

AOS
AOS/EAD/AP NOA1 --- March 4, 2013

I am the USC who brought my fiancé here on a K1,  who's now a USC and is now filing for his mother - whose case just got approved :)

well I know that you can go with him but you would have to sit out in the courtyard from what I hear. You might sit for a while to, and you cant bring your cellphone :crying: but just be prepared to wait :)

No they don't allow the petitioner to enter the embassy for the interview. But they do allow you to enter the property and wait in the court yard.

If for some reason which I hope will never be the case if you have to go back for a second interview you can request then to go in. Otherwise go with him, sit in the courtyard, bring a good book. It is nice to be there just in case they do want to see you and sometimes if they blue slip him for silly reasons and you know your fiance had the information its good to be there so you can request to go right back in. Sometimes the men give up too easy not realizing what they needed was right in hand but could not find it only because they were nervous. LOl!! It happens.
