hi all,

a question on the tax returns if you've been divorced or seperated.

my husband filed his 05 as single, but his 03, and 04 were filed with his now exwife. can we use those 2 years and will it affect this process i've never seen a u.s. tax form filled out, should we do a written explanation with them?

i guess a copy of his support payments also would be needed? his ex is getting all freaky about it she thinks we want her support lowered so i may have to explain to her. we are getting all this now talkingto employer early to give them a heads up. thanks for all the help

They are mostly concerned with the last years taxes, so you should be fine, and also if you include the 3 years they should understand since a divorce certificate should be in the paperwork.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

No issues with the tax returns, it is ok to have his ex-wife's name on it. They would not bother you.
