Hello,

My fiance and I are getting married in the US in May 2012. I am a UK citizen in the US on an H-1B VISA, my fiance is a USC.

I am starting to prepare all of the forms to apply for the I-130.

On the G-325A - Biographic Informtaion, do we both need to fill out a seperate form and send in Birth certificates??

If, yes do they need to be the long form certificates including my parents names, and also do they need to be the apostille stamped service (certified copies)>

Thanks in advance for your help,

Lewis

You will each provide your own G325a but an I-130 is not something you apply for. It's something the US Citizen "files". You posted in the K3 visa forum, but that visa has been unobtainable for more than two years. Just what immigration path do you have in mind? If you're here on an H1B visa, I would think you would adjust status, rather than seeking any visa.

Birth certificates should be the long form, yes, but the foreigner's birth certificate is not needed with an I-130 filing. It IS needed with an adjustment of status filing though. Again, just what is your immigration plan?

Start by clicking on the word "Guides" at the top of any page here. Then post in the Adjustment of Status from Work, Student, & Tourist Visas forum.
