Hi everyone,

I'm little curious about how long it would take to have the green card in hand.

My interview was 3/29; we were approved on the spot. On the same day, I received an email saying "On March 29, 2012, we ordered production of your new card."

Then 3/30, another email was sent: "On March 30, 2012, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status"

So is the notice that they mailed have the green card with it or the card will come separately? And how long does it usually take? I'm in San Jose, CA by the way, if that makes any differences at all.

Thank you!!

P/S: I have read that sometimes they do home visit after approving the case to check if the couple really do live together. Has that happened to anyone here? Why, do you think, they would do that.

You are already approved so you are not getting a home interview. You'll get the card within 10 business days from first email.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!
