Security checks at the NVC

8-30-05 Met David at a restaurant in Germany

3-28-06 David 'officially' proposed

4-26-06 I-129F mailed

9-25-06 Interview: APPROVED!

10-16-06 Flt to US, POE Detroit

11-5-06 Married

7-2-07 Green card received

9-12-08 Filed for divorce

12-5-08 Court hearing - divorce final

A great marriage is not when the "perfect couple" comes together.

It is when an imperfect couple learns to enjoy their differences.

Steps to follow:

First; Contact NVC to see if they still have it, it can take up to 6 weeks from NOA2 until NVC forwards it on to the consulate.

Email NVC at NVCINQUIRY@state.gov reference your USCIS case number in the email header, and names of petitioner, and beneficiary as well as DOB of beneficiary. They will reply with status and if sent to the embassy, the new Case number.

Second; If NVC has forwarded it to the Embassy, the embassy can then take some time before sending out packet three.

Email the embassy about using the case number assigned by NVC, not the number from USCIS.

Good luck!
