Whoa, did this thread get hijacked or what?

I was trying to make a comment about the ignorance of some people and this became a forum for the tragedy in Florida.

I was expecting some comments about an Arab shooting contest and figured there would be some off the wall comments about that, but this is way over the top.

We have a good friend from Kazahkstan and she was very insulted by Borat. It wasn't even filmed in that country and Sasha Cohen isn't that funny.

Sasha Cohen is a comedic genius.

"Kazakhstan" was, in fact, filmed in Romania. But, the American parts were filmed here. Should we be offended too?

Living here near Chicago, where gun control really works ????, one will get used to it. 8-10 people shot in the city over a weekend is normal around here!

I agree that shootings in large cities are numerous and unfortunately, somewhat expected. But I was talking about the disrespect shown to someone by the ignorance of an organization that was awarding a person first prize. But, because of the shooting in Florida some took this as a forum to comment about that. So, I guess ignorance and disrespect is okay with people.

By the way, out here in California we just had a medical school shooting with, it sounds like 5 people killed. What the heck is gun control all about?
