Children 5 years old? Need NBI or police clearance?

I don't see anywhere where it states for children aboyt NBI or police clearance?

We have the passport, pictures, know they need medical, visa.... anything else???

any new updates on childrens last names??? he has his fathers name on his bith certificate.... Mother was never married. father is married someplace else....with a family. No way to contact or even find.... we were advised before this won't be a problem under Philippine law. Agree?

NBI Clearance is not needed for those under 16 years of age. I don't know about the last name issue. =)

USCIS

10/01/11 - Filed (2) I-130's

10/04/11 - NOA-1

04/05/12 - NOA-2

Your I-130 was approved in 184 days from your NOA1 date.

NVC

04/23/12 - NVC received both cases (18 days/12 business days from NOA-2)

05/07/12 - Case numbers and IIN's (14 days/10 business days since NVC received)

05/07/12 - Sent out DS-3032 by email; auto-response received

05/08/12 - AOS fee invoiced, paid - "IN PROCESS"

05/09/12 - AOS fee shows as "PAID"

05/10/12 - Spouse's DS-3032 accepted; minor child's rejected = had petitioner call NVC = received verbal acceptance from operator

05/11/12 - Spouse's IV fee invoiced

05/14/12 - Daughter's IV fee invoiced, paid both IV fees - "IN PROCESS"

05/15/12 - Both IV fees show as "PAID"

05/16/12 - Sent both AOS and both IV packages to NVC via USPS (expected delivery: 05/19/12)

05/21/12 - All 4 packages delivered

05/30/12 - Received checklist for daughter's AOS

05/31/12 - Sent response to checklist via USPS (expected delivery: 06/01/12); Spouse's case completed

06/07/12 - Daughter's case completed; waiting for interview date

06/14/12 - P4 received: interview date 07/11/12

Embassy

07/04-05/12 - Medical at SLEC

07/11/12 - Interview: APPROVED!

07/14/12 - Visas on hand

POE: 10/17/12

Could you explain better the situation so we can help you?

I don't think the kids need to changes names, if that is what you meant...just fill in the forms with the names they have on their birth certificates.

Marriage: June 21, 2011

USCIS (179 days - 5 months and 27 days)

I-130 mailed: August 24, 2011

NOA1: September 1, 2011

Touched: September 6, 2011

NOA2: February 27, 2012

NVC - 30 days

NVC Received: March 05, 2012

NVC assigns case #: March 09, 2012

E-mailed choice of agent according to VJ's sample: March 13, 2012

Received AOS package and I-864 bill: March 14, 2012

Paid I-864 bill: March 15, 2012

I-864 bill status PAID: March 16, 2012

Mailed AOS package: March 19, 2012

NVC’s operator informed on the phone they accepted AOS package: March 23, 2012

Received checklist for the DS-3032: March 23, 2012 (the first electronic choice of agent didn’t get through…)

Resent electronic choice of agent to NVC: March 23, 2012

NVC accepts electronic choice of agent: March 26, 2012

IV bill invoiced: March 27, 2012

IV bill paid: March 28, 2012

IV bill status PAID: March 29, 2012

Mailed IV package: March 29, 2012

CASE COMPLETE: April 04, 2012

NVC left and interview scheduled: April 06, 2012

My fiancee has her birth name as given. Her son, was given his fathers last name even though they were not married.

so they have different last names and mothers and fathers names are on the birth certificate both names being different because they were not married.

so I need to know about police clearance for a child....

There is no way you need police clearance for the child. You can file for immigration for your stepchild

Since you mentioned that the the child's natural parents aren't married, the mother has FULL custody even if the child bears the surname of the father, NOR do you need DSWD clearance(I think this is what you are worried about) if the child will be traveling with the mother.

Do not oversweat :D
