Service request sent from uscis to service cetner

[why not1 5]

I called USCIS yesterday, because our time was up for the service center to review our RFE. The USCIS sent in a service request and said now they only have 15 days to respond. Has anyone else delt with this, and what if they do not respond and I have to call USCIS back? What will happen then? Needless to say my hubby is not thrilled about this, it is taken more time. I am beyond frustrated too. I always heard good things about the California service center and being faster than most. And now I’m wondering when the time is I should call my senator to get involved.

I say call your congressman and get them involved now. SO his name will follow your file through the interview and may make AP much shorter for you!!

I know 2 Egypt people who sent in RFEs around the same time as you so maybe you can contact them and ask if the got their NOA2 yet?

I was in a similar situation. I put in service request after the 60 days were over for RFE. I was also told that I should hear something within 15 days. Well in a week I got an email that basically just said that my case was being reviewed, which of course was no help. I finally decided to contact my congressman since I could not get anything resolve by service request. I was approved within 2 weeks of contacting my congressman. I would strongly suggest to involve ur congressman. I know contacting congressman did not work for everyone but it worked in my case. I wish u luck and hope u get good result from ur congressman's office.

Thanks everyone for replying...I am very seriously thinking of just contacting my congeressman. Our RFE was strange not the typical 30 days we had over 2 months. Now they have not did anything with our petition. And frankly it makes me nervous. I will be following the links too.
