No check cashed and no NOA

My packet was delivered on March 12 2012, or at least thats when it was signed for at 0130. I've not received an NOA nor has my check been cashed. I'll called the USCIS line and got a 2nd Tier person, they said I need to wait 30 days to see if I receive something from them, I told him the check hadn't been cashed and he said no to worry, but I am. They've had my packet almost 2 weeks, what if it was lost. I'm freaking out, surely the check should have been cashed by now.

If there was something wrong with my packet, would they send the check back uncashed? Does anyone have any ideas on what I should do?

I searched this website and found this previous post from you. Seems like we are the only ones with this problem :( I didn't read what happened to you on this later, did you end up getting your NOA?

This morning, I called the service line and like you got to a 2nd tier person and actually I asked what position the person is and he told me he is one of the immigration officers (don't know if that is true) and that I would need to wait 15-30 days for the NOA... he advised that I email the lockbox support to see if they got my package, but I told him that I already have delivery confirmation from USPS and he told me to email them that if I can provide the number so they can do a search on the package since our case is not showing up in the system. We will wait until the end of this week to hear back from the lockbox support, if we don't, I think we will be calling them back again.

I forgot to ask if you sent it via Express mail or regular mail to the lockbox and which lockbox you sent yours to?

BethandBilly & renlovesjesus - This surely is unique and weird. I assume you both sent in your N-400 applications. Normally the check is cashed within 7-10 days of your mailing them the packet. But I have occasionally seen cases where it took them a little over a month to cash the check.

I would suggest you call them again next week and follow it up. I know it seems frustrating, but hang in there.

I hope seniors of this forum can chime in and give their opinion.

Good Luck to both of you!
