is it ok to use the form I-864EZ
The I-864EZ is perfectly OK to use, 2 things it cannot be used for are if you are relying on a co-sponsor, or if you plan on using assets in the case that income is not enough to make 125% poverty line level.

So if you are soul sponsor, and income is more than enough then the I-864EZ is the one to use.

Also you may change your status from Filed for K-1 to AOS now, just makes it easier to know your status at quick look.
