DHL Tracking and Waybill

So, my fiance was approved yesterday! He said at the conclusion of the interview, the IO congratulated him and gave him information for tracking his visa via DHL. He even was given a tracking number. But she did not instruct him to go and pay for the DHL service. So he didn't. Was this a mistake? I see no tracking information on the CSC Visa Information website under applicant summary. I'm just a little worried. Can anyone advise me as to whether something went wrong.

K-1 Visa Journey

December 8, 2009 - Met in Monterrey, Mexico
December 28, 2010 - Officially started dating!
July 2,2011 - He proposed in Downtown Monterrey, Mexico, I accepted
September 16, 2011 - Mailed I-129F Application
September 19, 2011 - I-129F arrived at Dallas Lockbox
September 22, 2011 - NOA1
September 24, 2011 - Check cashed!
September 26, 2011 - NOA1 hard copy arrived in the mail
January 3, 2012 - NOA2 email and text message!
January 6, 2012 - NOA2 Hardcopy arrived in the mail.
February 16, 2012 - Packet 3 (invitation letter) arrives in the mail.
March 12, 2012 - ASC Appointment
March 15, 2012 - Interview at Consulate in CDJ.
March 15, 2012 - Approved!
April 18, 2012 - POE - Houston, Texas
June 9, 2012 - Married!

Adjustment of Status Journey
July 26, 2012 - Mailed AOS Application
August 1, 2012 - NOA1
August 2, 2012 - Received Biometrics Letter
August 16, 2012 - Received Hard Copy of NOA1
August 23, 2012 - Biometrics
September 25, 2012 - Approved I131
September 25, 2012 - EAD/AP Combo Card sent to production
October 3, 2012 - EAD/AP Combo Card Arrived

April 29, 2013 - AOS Approved Without Interview!

May 6, 2013 - Card arrived in the mail

I think the DHL fee is included in the payment he already made or something like that, I really don't remember very well but the point is that he does NOT have to pay anything else. He just need to wait until they update the website and go pick it up! Congrats on the approval!

You used to pay a small fee for DHL, but maybe they changed things. If they did not ask for payment, then you are probably good to go. He has a tracking number, so he should be able to get the info on when his visa is ready for pick up. and... Congrats! :star:

My wife and I got a CR-1 visa, not a K-1—I'm not sure if it makes a difference or not—but we didn't pay anything for DHL.

7 Mar 2011 - Mailed the I-130 package

12 Nov 2011 - Became a U.S. resident (+250 days)

18 Sep 2017 - Sworn in as a U.S. citizen (+2137 days)

Thanks everyone! You're all correct. We got an email telling us how to officially track his visa after about two or three days, so no fee is necessary.
