Change of address During K3

Hey guys.

As advised by the lovely visajourney.com crowd, we are going to wait until our case is sent to NVC to change our address. However, we were wondering how long it takes to process the change. If we were to call up and change the address after the case is transferred, is that enough time to ensure that packet 3 is sent to the right address? Oh and can we just call to change it, or do we have to fill out forms?

Thanks again.

And (just an aside), I feel like people have been getting happy K3 news... interview dates and approvals. This all makes me feel very hopeful :)

wasabisnack,

If you change your address at the NVC stage, the Embassy or Consulate will send packet 3 to the updated address.

If you miss the opportunity to change it at NVC, you will need to quickly change it at the applicable Embassy or Consulate, to ensure continuity of the process. Stay on top of it and work the phones!!!!

I waited until it was transferred to the consulate and then changed it. I emailed, phoned and sent a letter just to be on the safe side. I received all packages at the new address. Good Luck !

Feb. 15/ 07 --- GC approved

Nov. 17/09 -- I-751 sent (Day 1)
