Hi, I hope someone can clear this up for me. I am a US citizen. I married my wife in the Philippines in a Civil wedding in January. My question is, will there be a problem that the consular agency that married us put my Mother's maiden name in my name on the marriage contract? It reads: First Name - Middle Name - Moms Maiden Name-Last Name. At the wedding I asked why they did that and the answer I got was "That is how it is done here"

I am just concerned about how my name reads on our marriage contract and will that be a conflict with other forms when I send in the I30 packet.

Thanks

We got married in the Philippines in a civil wedding too in January 2008, and no one ever put my mom's maiden name anywhere with my name.

Hi we just got married last december and in our marriage certificate my husbands name doesnt have his mothers maiden name on it pretty much you they screwed up..... We have a problem as well in our marriage cert. The local civil registry put single in my husbands civil status instead of divorce but they kept insisting but anyways, i went there to have things straight up but they keep insisting that what they done is right and asking us if we want it fix we need to pay and make a clearical error procedure which will cost us 1,000 pesos per letter my advice is that if you want it to be fix ask your wife to go to the local civil registry where you get your marriage licence and ask them to make clearical error and have it expedited it will cost you 1,000 per letter and some money for the person who will process you paper
