Hello to all the members at VJ,

I Recently got packet 3.5. I have some questions regarding that.....

Do we have to sign ds 230 Part 1, DS 156 and DS 157 as for form DS 156k it clearly states in form not to sign it ... but what abt the other ones should i sign them? no instructions on packet 3.5 as to sign them or not..actually i have read at VJ at times members saying not to sign these forms and u will have to sign them at the time of the interview what shud i do?

Also i have seen many people saying to not to send the original birth certificate and police certificate when sending packet 3.5, as it will b asked for at the time of interview but on the instructions there is a list for these original documents. (Civil Documents)

Want a positive response from u guys

Thanx

My fiance signed all of them except for the DS 156k. He also did NOT send his supporting documents (birth certificate and police certificate) when he sent it back. He only sent the forms. He hand delievered the other documents with him to his interview.

I honestly would not send them and strongly encourage you to wait and take them with you at the time of your interview. There have been cases where documents have been lost and I would really hate to see that happen to you which could cause a delay while you have to go and get orignal documents again. That is strictly my opinion though. You should do what you think is best and gives you comfort. My fiance had no issue not sending them and waiting for the interview.

Thanx a lot worth_the_wait... i m planning to send the original birth certificate and police certificate...would it be ok ???

Jazak Allah

I would recommend sending a copy of each and let them know that you will provide the original at the time of interview. My fiance did the same. We actually sent everything with the packet 3.5, but the returned it all and kept only the forms, copy of birth cert. and police cert.

After you send the package they check for completion and signed docs are part of it. Sign where ever it says to sign it and don't sign only the one that says "do not sign".
