Is it possible to fill out the DS 156 form online before packet 3 has been sent? What does the barcode do? Will I be in trouble if I do this? I just really want to get as much done as possible. I know that DS 160 is different and needs to be sent electronically after packet 3 has been sent, but this looks like for 156 it just generates a barcode and you still send the form. Is that correct? HELP!

Aos:

10-01-12. Sent AOS, AP and EAD

10-09-12- Recieved NOA's for forms

10-24-12- Successfully walked in for biometrics (originally scheduled for 11-08-12)

11-26-12- Made info pass appointment for emergency advance parole. Denied, but agent called service center to request an expedite.

11-28-12- Agent at Infopass called me to let me know service center approved my request.

12-01-12- Advance parole received in the mail (2 page version, not combo card)

yes you can fill it out now... the barcode just contains the information you enter in to the form so the embassy can just scan the barcode instead of entering all your info in to the system by hand

INTERVIEW............................................03/14/2012 APPROVED

POE ATLANTA.........................................04/03/2012

AOS approved 3/29/13 after almost 10 months of waiting. No RFE's and no interview.
