Packet 4 K1 visa new delhi

im getting a little bit concerned about my visa interview date...i recieved packet 3 on 21/1/2012 and sent it back on 23/1/2012 to us embassy new delhi but till date i have not recieved packet 4....how long should i wait and where to contact after that?

any help is appreciated....thanx

Im in same situation just not in india . my case is at dhaka embassy in bangladesh. I turned packed 3 on Jan 19th and still waiting for interview date hope u hear something soon. Good luck.

New Delhi consulate is very poor with the "postal mail" communication. We didn't receive packet 3 at all and packet 4 was received pretty late.

It did take them 1 - 1.5 to schedule the interview after packet 3 was sent.

There are two things you can do...

1. Call DOS at 202.663.1225 (in US), then press 1 and then 0 to speak to someone. Ask for the case status. They will need the NWD... number and may ask for name and DOB of both the beneficiary and petitioner.

2. Send an email to infousdelhi@vfshelpline.com. Include the NWD... case number and ask for the status. They take 1-3 working days to respond because they have check with the consulate.

Both of the above will tell you if an interview has already been scheduled. If it has vfs helpline (option 2 above) will attach the interview letter and send it back to you.

thanx a lot....sent an email to vfs 10 days ago...no reply yet...will try the DOS no if didnt hear frm vfs by monday

Please tell us what happened to your case..

I am in a similar situation. i got my packet 4 on 16 april...abt after 1 month n 10 days after i sent my packet 3...jst keep in touch with the embassy n hope for the best...if u need any help pls feel free to ask
