I received the following email from the San Salvador Embassy and I'm not sure what to make of it. We got a call last week from the embassy but the officer wouldn't say if the visa was approved. "under Section 221g of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA), pending further documentary evidence in her case. To overcome this ineligibility, the case underwent an administrative processing. The administrative processing was completed on February 13, 2012.

The applicant's case is being reviewed by a consular officer at this moment. As soon as the process is completed, we will contact Ms.xxx".

Anyone experienced this before?

It's not uncommon for the end of AP to have to be reviewed by the CO.. they basically take all the AP info look over it and make sure the beneficiary is eligible for the visa... they should contact you soon.
