Comments : Told by Embassy call center there would be two interviews, one week apart, and we only needed to bring the affidavit of support, DS 156K, and DS156. Turns out when my fiance showed up for the interview there was no second interview and we didn't have enough supporting evidence. On top of that, the Embassy officer pulled out my taxes for 2010 from my affidavit of support without reviewing them and told my fiance we needed to provide that information as well via cargo expreso. Send back docs next day, Embassy says they received them on 10/27/11...now stuck in AP.

Got word yesterday(1/05/2012) from my fiance that the embassy called and wanted to set up a joint interview in El Salvador. I'll be flying out to hopefully seal the deal.

Completed second joint interview at San Salvador Embassy. Consular officers would not say if the application was approved or denied. The interviewing officer stated they would need to review the case further due to a spike in "these types of applications" and that we should receive word soon and possibly a packet in the mail.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
