Hi everyone,

I entered the US through JFK and managed to get a 90 day EAD, which I was sooo happy about. BUT now I just got an RFE for not having enough information so my 90 days is now expired and I'm nowhere near to having my new 1 year EAD. I have accepted a job already, which is to start in one month! Is there ANY way to get an extension on my 90 day EAD??? Or if I send in my RFE info - any chance you think I could get my new EAD in one month? Do I need to quite my new job :crying: ?

You will most likely have your 1-year EAD in a month's time because usually after an RFE, approval is very near.

You could make an InfoPass appointment with your local office and see if there's anything they can do for you.

But, if you do not have your 1-year EAD by the time you are to start your new job, you will not be able to start working.

Good luck.

Have you had your biometrics done yet??? If you have not then it is unlikely that you will have your 1 year EAD within a month.....

You can not get an extention on a temp EAD....

So if you dont have your 1 year EAD in time then you are not going to be able to start a job...

My wife received her EAD card 5 days after biometrics were done. From what I've read here on VJ in the past, that seems to be a pretty normal time gap between biometrics and receiving the card.
