Hi

Can someone tell me exactly what was contained within their current packet 4. As I browse through VJ to research items, I often find the example of forms or contents are from 2006.

I am unable to collect my packet 4 letter until the day before my interview as I'm in the US. I have prepared all the necessary paperwork as I believe is required.

Thanks in advance

i believe it is just your appointment letter and contains your interview date and details on how to pay for it. you might possibly need the letter for the interview to get in to the embassy but not sure.

did you receive an interview date by email then??

This is a "packet 4" type letter of instruction (2010). http://photos.state.gov/libraries/unitedkingdom/164203/cons-visa/iv_019.pdf

Don't know if it's the very latest. People have said they still don't give you payment instructions in P4 like the website says. You call the info line and pay by phone. They will still take your money at the embassy if you don't pay in advance. And they have let people in without the appointment letter because they have a list of the day's appointments and will find your name. Paying in advance and appointment letter speeds up things for them, but they won't turn you away.

I paid by phone on the DOS line. I called every few days until I was told the embassy had updated my case with an interview date.

It has been about one month between them receiving packet 3 and interview. Neither of us received an email about the interview date.

I appreciate the speedy answers, thanks
