i want to know how many are waiting since November for there passport.

my husband was interview in Nov at New Delhi. but we have not received his passport yet.

NVC - 08-01-2011- NVC Received (After 48 Days)
08-19-2011- NVC Case# & IIN Received by email from NVC & E-mails Exchanged (After66 Days)
10-04-2011- Case Completed 10-07-2011- Called NVC and Received Interview Letter by email
NOV-2011- Interview (AP)
06-05-2012- Visited at Embassy Second Time
06-08-2012- Received Message from VFS Collected on 11th asking for New Medical
06-12-2012- Medical Done Send Back on 14th
06-25-2012- Received Message From VFS Collected on 26th asking for New Passport Clearance gone be Expire on 28th.

i asked them no one telling the reason. they did not ask for anything just keep his passport.

Have you called DOS? (Department of State)? They can tell you if you are in AP. It sounds like it but to know for sure call them. Usually AP for India doesn't take but a few months. You can also email the embassy if that is allowed/or check the website if they have one for your case.

Have you called DOS? (Department of State)? They can tell you if you are in AP. It sounds like it but to know for sure call them. Usually AP for India doesn't take but a few months. You can also email the embassy if that is allowed/or check the website if they have one for your case.

yes i called to DOS they told me my file still under AP. i ask them why is under AP? she said we don't have information abt tht.

its take over 75 days i don't know how to find out why my case is under AP. i email to embassy they saying whenever your case process complete we send your passport.

i track passport no. every evening its says same under process. :blink:

Yeah they won't tell you much beyond pending. Sadly its just a waiting game. Just keep calling thursdays or fridays to DOS and inquire and send a monthly email to the embassy making an inquiry. It shouldn't be too long....just hang in there.. best of luck.

Yeah they won't tell you much beyond pending. Sadly its just a waiting game. Just keep calling thursdays or fridays to DOS and inquire and send a monthly email to the embassy making an inquiry. It shouldn't be too long....just hang in there.. best of luck.

You won't unfortunately. The only thing we have is that the CO told us specifically we had to go thru name checks Mandatory AP.. other than that we would have never known and most cases are never told why they are in AP. DOS won't tell you anything but pending and sometimes they will tell you there was an update but they never tell you what it was unless it was a reply to your email or your congressman/senators email inquiry.
