Sorry to bother you all but I was wondering if someone can help me please.

When I go on the CEAC website its now saying

Ready

Immigrant Visa Case Number: LND###################ND Case Creation Date: 18-Jul-2013 Status Updated Date: 30-Jul-2013

Your case is ready for your interview when scheduled at the U.S. Consular section. If you have already scheduled an appointment for an interview, please prepare your documents as directed in your appointment letter and appear at the consulate on the appointed date and time. Otherwise, please wait until you have been notified of your interview appointment. Additional information about how Immigrant Visa interview appointments are scheduled can be found at:http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3731.html
On the 26th July the status updated date was 26th July 2013 and today it change... any idea why?

OK. Looking at your timeline, my guess would be:

26 July - file received and registered in London

30 July - packet 3 letter sent

But that is just a guess. Best idea is to phone DOS on 1-202-663-1225 and ask them why your file was updated today.

Thanks for your reply... No Im waiting for my package to book my medical.

Have you sent any forms in or had your medical recently? Most likely it is DOS logging recent documents/medical results.

Does Ready mean they have added your case in the system from the Transit too. Or it will remain in Transit until an interview is scheduled?

Ready means it has arrived at London and is in their system. It will say Ready until your interview.

Silly question but package 3, does it come as normal post or do you need to sign for it? And how did is it?

I havent actually had my packet 3 yet but it is my understanding it is just a simple letter that comes through normal post directing you to the website to fill out the DS forms :)

Once I have the K1 visa in my hand, how much time do I have to enter the U.S?(I know it's 90 days to get married once you enter the U.S). Also my NOA2 was in April, by the 16th Aug my time period is up for the petition to be valid. Do I need an up-to-date letter from Jeff saying he still wants to marry me?

Thanks for your reply... No Im waiting for my package to book my medical.

You dont need to wait for packet 3 to arrive to book your medical, if you have your Case number you can do that now. If you don't know your Case number you can call the DOS and they will tell your Case number. Medicals currently have a 2 week lead time.

1) 6 months from your medical date.

2) Best to check with the embassy (or someone more knowledgable here), I've heard conflicting views regarding expired petitions.

Read your instruction letter from London again. It says if you haven't finished by the date at the bottom, then you need a notarized letter from Jeff saying he is still free to marry and intends to marry you within 90 days...etc. I am guessing the date they put at the bottom of your letter is around Aug 16. You are so close, that you better have Jeff do a letter ASAP, get a notary to witness him signing, and put it in the post to you so you have it in hand for your interview.

So someone signed for our forms at London yesterday morning according to the Royal Mail tracker - do you get an update on CEAC once they've input them or do whatever they do with them? What does the update say? I'm just wondering whether we should be calling them to ask or what to do now.

The CEAC site will update but just to show an 'update date'. It will now continue to say 'ready' until after your interview. It may take a few days for your forms to be registered and the CEAC site to be updated. Once you see a new update date, I would suggest phoning DOS and asking what the update is about. It should be about the forms being registered. Obviously, you won;t be sent an interview appointment letter until after the medical results have been received my the embassy. Did you send DS-2001 with your forms?

When i sent in my DS forms + cover letter, nothing was updated on the site...the date is still the same date of when they first received my file from NVC (9th july)

I think the next time they will update is once they get your medical?
