interview date given, no letter!

Omg my fiancé just got a phone call that our interview is this Sunday, talk about last minute notice. We are so excited, but my concern is we didn't receive a letter and we asked they said we don't need it. Will we face a problem? How will he get in the embassy?

He needs an email from them. HE can print the email. Have him call the IV unit and ask them to send an email or ask them if they mailed a letter. He needs to do this right now!

Don't ever do anything you're not willing to explain the paramedics.

Congratulation! hm..i remember going there to get married w/my husband and i had to show my appt print out, when he went for the interview in december he printed out a letter showing of appt scheduled for interview. If he does't have a letter but has all the other documents they will let him in but be ready for delays and i'm sure he will have to explain to the guy at the gate that he was an interview blah blah blah....it's Egypt; I would say try to get something showing he has an interview that day at that time but if you can't and they told you he wont need it,then he should just tell them at the gate that and hope they will not give him a hard time. Good luck on ur interview!!! :)

OMG! Good luck. I believe you won't be allowed in, but support is an absolute need!

Oh..so you are going with him; then once they see you at the gate with ur US passport then they will let him go in for an interview for sure :thumbs:

but I'm not sure if you could get in with him...

You both will definitly not be interviewing, only if the embassy requested you for an interview as well...

thanks so much that makes me assured, i know its not fair i wont be able to attend :( but still want to be there for moral support. Im just still shocked they told us the appointment via phone call 4 days in advance.....

Did he do his medical today? How did he find out about the interview? They called him? They must have had a last minute opening. Very nice except the airfare cost!

May 24, 2011 NOA1

Sept 11, 2011 NOA2-took 19 days to get case number

Sept 30, 2011 NVC number and IIN received Friday-gotta wait till Monday

Oct 13, 2011 Case Completed- 13 days from receiving case number Took 32 days from NOA2

Nov 30, 2011 Notified of Interview date

January 19, 2012 Interview- 240 days from NOA1

INTERVIEW RESULTS-APPROVED WITH 14 WEEKS AP--but he got his visa in 56 days!!!!!!

No he did his medical in December if I remember correctly, yes they called him on Thursday.actually the air fare cost me $770 for a round trip on Egypt air they had a deal. I had just emailed the embassy asking for details on when we can get an interview (the day before they called) and I just got back a generic response that it's still pending a date and next thing you know they call

Good luck. And be very carefull in Egypt with all th'ats going on there now...Not a safe place to be right now.
