Background: Married my Canadian wife while she was visiting me here in the US and she stayed. Now seeking AOS.

It was a little unclear to me from the "guide" here in vj, but I need to put in an i-765 with my other forms in order for my AOS spouse to be able to work ASAP right?

Do I basically create a separate file for this one, complete with it's own photocopies of her passport, passport photos, and its own check for the fees, if that makes sense? The instructions for i-765 seem to want all these things.

12/24/2010 I proposed. She accepted and stayed.

02/25/2011 Married!

03/19/2012 FINALLY submitted the AOS paperwork: I-130, I-485, I-765, etc.

03/23/2012 Received notification that USCIS has received everything.

03/26/2012 Biometrics Appointment Notice: April 23, 2012.

04/02/2012 NOA's received. Now we wait...

04/23/2012 Biometrics completed.

05/18/2012 EAD card mailed but not yet received.

06/06/2012 Rough interview but we think we're approved! Website says i485 status "Card Production".

06/12/2012 We received the "Welcome the United States" letters! Website says Green Card was mailed.

LIMBO: Green card lost in mail. Facing the possibility of paying hundreds in fees and basically repeating the entire process.

All good now! USPS lost it, then found it.

04/24/14 Back to VJ to get help with I-751, Removal of Conditions.

05/31/14 Mailed I-751 finally, with less than a week to deadline!

06/02/14 NOA1 (that was fast!)

07/01/14 Biometrics

7/25/14 Approved for Removal of Conditions

You don't pay for any fees. AOS includes the EAD and AP forms. One fee for everything.

You do however create a single package for each part - AOS - EAD - AP. They are then put together in the same envelope with the I-130 and all mailed together at the same time.

I-130 is one package you pay for this and collect everything

I-485 is the other package which includes EAD and AP - one fee for all of it separate payment from the I-130.

1 set of documents for the 485

1 set for the EAD (if she wants to work before green card)

1 set for the AP ( if she wants to travel before green card.)

Everything is put in one package with separate sections ( organized so its not jumbled all together )

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.
