Need your help guys..My fiancée POE was 12/25/2011, we waited until 1/11/12 to go to Social security office was told to wait 4weeks for the card, I need to add him to my insurance at work and bank account so he went back today to see if T least the number was available but was told he was not in the system and they needed to verify from uscis and that it can take 4-6weeks, is there anything I can do to speed up the process?, Infopass maybe?, I called uscis and the rep advise me to do an info pass..Any advice will be appreciated!

The problem is at the USCIS and how long it takes them to process all of the paperwork he handed them at POE. The SSA cannot assign him a number until the USCIS enters all of his info in the system which can take up to 12 weeks. My husband's took about six weeks and after I talked to someone at the USCIS and was informed that everything was in the system we went in person to the SSA office to get his number and sure enough, they were able to do it then.
