had my interview in Indianapolis 12/8/2011.

USCIS status check online says my application was 'placed in the oath scheduling queue' on 12/13/2011.

It also says on the USCIS website, that you can expect to be scheduled for an oath ceremony within 45 days of receiveing your recommended approval.

Placed in the oath scheduling queue sounds like 'approval' to me - and the 45 days (after 12/13) are over as of Friday, 1/27/2012.

Did anybody else have to wait that long?

Does that have anything to do with my field office being in Indianapolis?

Are they just extra slow there, or are they too busy with the Superbowl right now?

I wonder if my notification letter got lost in the mail.

Do the people on their customer service phoneline have any clue, or what else could I try to find out if this is 'normal'?

This endless waiting...... and waiting....... and waiting....... is nerve-wrecking.

You could make an info pass appointment and go in and ask whats going on - they will know more than the operators because the people on the phone can only see what you see on your online status check.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

Totally agree with Inky, customer service won't help you at all, you better schedule an info pass appointment. They sent me my oath letter the day after my appointment :)

Good luck

OK, InfoPass scheduled for tomorrow afternoon - what a waste of (my) time!

I'll be driving for 2.5+ hours, then waiting around in an USCIS office for who-knows-how-long, just to ask a simple question: "where's my invitation to the oath ceremony?", then driving back home for another 2.5+ hours?

oh, boy, how I wish this whole ordeal was over!

if you're really lucky, you can ask them to do take the oath the same day

I don't know if it's feasible though :(

good luck

OK, I scheduled an InfoPass appointment and drove to Indianapolis today.

Spent 5.5 hours on the road and $35 for gas and parking, but at least I got things moving again!

They scheduled me for my oath ceremony on 2/17 and told me the official letter would go out today.

I still don't know what took them so long - but that doesn't matter now.
