You may have read an earlier post where I was having difficulty with knowing what fee to pay and how the Thai Post Office didn't have an amount the fee I was instructed in Packet 3 to pay. I thought it was $131 so I ended up paying 4,340baht which was a little bit more, but the closet to $131.00. Well now in the email they sent me to inform me of my appointment it tells me the new fee is $350. As I over payed the original $131 fee how can I now go to Thai Post Office and make up the difference. Can you give the Post Office an exact amount or are you confined to the set choices ? What to do ???

I think you could make up the difference at the P O & show reciepts indicating the total is correct. Or you could do the interview & ask them what to do. They will tell you to do the above. You could then walk across the street, pay at the P O & return the reciept to them that day or when you come back to pick up the visa. The P O is to the left of the high rise. Walk thru the parking lot to find the little soi. Walk to your left to find a small P O a short distance away.

The fee has been $350 for a while now. That has not changed.

What may have happened is that you paid an initial fee at the post office, and you pay the difference at the Embassy. Some allow it like this. For example, my fiance (we're going through Croatia) was instructed to pay an initial fee at the national bank. The difference would be paid at the Embassy. If I'm not mistaken, they told him to pay $130 at the bank...if not $130 it was $170.

Call your Embassy and ask them how to proceed with the remaining fee.
