We are working on package 3. Can someone who has been through the process recently tell me how much the fee is for a non immigrant visa at a Thai post office? The package 3 instructions say the equivilant in Thai baht of $131 USD. I just want to know if that is accurate. I read somewhere there are several different rates at the post office. I want to make sure we pay, but not overpay. Thanks in advance!

That's correct. They have changed the visa fee from 131 USD to 350 USD. The post office is quite efficient. They will exactly tell you the specific amount in Thai Baht equivalent. As for the receipt. I guess, they want the WHITE (electronic receipt) not the blue one which we have filled out. So, photocopy the electronic receipt and bring in the original one on your scheduled date, which is in 2 to 3 months. Have a good day!

Can I ask if either of you used Bumrungrad Hospital for the medical exam? How much did that cost? My fiancé has done some of the vaccinations at her local hospital but I'm trying to figure out how much to send her for a trip to Bangkok and Visa expenses. Thanks.

My fiancé tried to pay at her local post office and they knew nothing about it...do only certain post offices do this?

Yes, it is only certain post offices that do it. All the post offices in Bangkok you should be able to pay it. What I would suggest is calling the number listed in the link from Thailand's post office. Otherwise I would suggest sending a message to Ning and she can explain where the post office is located near the embassy and pay it the day of the interview or the day of the medical. http://www.thailandpost.com/service-detail.php?sid=45&service=174

It has to be a 'pay at post' post office. There 250 of them nationwide. I am not familiar with that but when I said 'pay at post post office' to my fiancé she instantly knew what that was and paid in her city. She tried to get the police certificate locally too as others have in the past but apparently that changed a few years ago. She will have to that in Bangkok. We plan on her doing the medical on the same trip.
