Well basically what the topic says. I know there are two ways of doing it but I would like a step by step instructions instead of the broad instructions given by the uscis. So there's the abroad way which is basically filing the i-130 and the inside america which is I-130+i-485. But if you do the i-130 abroad do you have to do the i-485 once she is through the border and here? If anyone can give very detailed instructions on both ways and which is easier that would be very helpful. including listing all the other forms you need and if there are any medical information needed because I know it says need to submit medical examination info but does that mean the medical form? Thanks to all who help.

Since you are already planning for the Canadian wife to immigrate (and I assume you are already married since you refer to her as "wife"), there is actually only one option available for you which is the CR-1 spousal visa. VJ has a step-by-step guide for the process which is here:

http://www.visajourney.com/content/i130guide1

There is no AOS involved with the CR-1, which makes it cheaper than AOS in the US or the K-1 fiance visa process. Once your wife has been issued the CR-1 visa and she uses it to enter the US, she immediately becomes a permanent resident.

Thanks ButI also forgot to add one thing which is the fact that currently right now my wife is visting me. Now does that mean we'd have to do the procesing abroad instead of inside america? and the CR-1=i-130? Also so there anyway she can be here while it processes etc?

Im currently in the u.s and in the process of filing my I130 and I485. If you request the form on the uscis website, all the documents and instructions tht you need are in there. Hope this kind of helps

If she is here now, then yes - you can file for AOS, which means Adjustment of Status from non-immigrant to permanent resident. the guide for that is here:

http://www.visajourney.com/content/i130guide2

Note that she won't be able to leave the US for about 3 months from when you file, and if she has overstayed her current authorized stay under her tourist status, then she cannot travel abroad at all until she has her GC, which takes approximately 4-6 months from filing (could be longer).

The I-130 is included in any process to obtain a permanent resident status based on family ties, such as marriage. The I-130 form essentially establishes the right to apply for permanent residency based on a relationship to a US citizen.
