So my interview has been set for 13th February and I have a question about what to take with me. The e-mail states this:

Reminders

* Any original documents that were requested by the NVC but were not submitted to the

NVC must be brought to the visa interview.

* The applicant must bring his/her medical examination results to the visa interview in an

envelope sealed by the medical office.

* The applicant must bring the correct size and number of photographs to the visa

interview. They must measure 2 inches by 2 inches (5 cm by 5 cm) on a white

background.

* IF a sponsor filed an I-864 (Affidavit of Support) AND provided the NVC with proof of

an IRS Federal Income Tax Extension in lieu of a Federal Income Tax Return, the

applicant must bring the sponsor's most recent Federal Income Tax Return to the visa

interview.

* Failure to present all necessary documents to the Consular Officer will result in the

applicant's immigrant visa being refused at the initial interview.

I've read on the reviews for London that others have taken original documents despite having already submitted them to the NVC. Is this recommended?

Any help and/or advice from recent interviewees at London would be much appreciated.

We took everything for AOS and they took 3 pieces of paper, the IO said better to be prepared than sent home. I had an original and copy file exactly the same, paranoid yep.

In Arizona its hot hot hot.

Have you looked on the London Embassy website for London specific instructions? You won't need photos if you sent them to NVC and the clinic will send your medical results to the embassy. I took two folders of documents and evidence, including more originals and more copies of all my documents, and all I was asked for was my passport and interview letter. Mind you, I did read a thread on here before my interview where someone was asked for an original of the marriage certificate from their previous marriage and sure enough the London site does say that you need certificates from all marriages. That panicked me so I got another certified copy of mine but they didn't ask for it.

doesn't that email have a list of stuff, with a legend attached per list item, and a legend definition grid at the bottom?

Many do, I'm solely asking if that email contains it.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Having done a visit visa and my daughters US citizenship in London... I would recommend you take everything original that you can, even if you've already submitted it previously. Don't give them a reason to refuse if you can help it :-)

Also as an aside.. the London embassy is more like a bank with different people at different windows. After passing security, you go in, sit down, get a number, get called, told to sit down.. possibly even get told to go out down the road and get 'proper' passport pictures and then come back lol. But it's an up and down process with long waiting times between being seen. The US embassy side is much more friendly btw.

Thanks very much! We'll get certified copies to add to the originals we already have... no point in leaving anything to chance!!
