Hello, I have a question about minimim income requirments. This form here states the minimum income required if you are sponsoring your fiance.

http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-864p.pdf

I called USCIS and the representative stated you can also have savings or stocks to count for this amount.

How can you use stock information for this requirment? Is this allowed?

Thanks.

For assets, you will need 3x the amount. For example, if you make $15k and $18k is needed, then you are $3k short and your assets will need to be $9k. They need to be cash or easily converted to cash. For stocks, provide proof that you own them and their current value.
