Change address once already in the US to recieve green card

Hi, I arrived in the US yesterday but on my package for customs, it had our old address. I did notify NVC of change of address but they didnt change it on the package. I was told by customs to call USCIS and change the address. They said i dont have a pending case so I dont need to change the address with them.

I filled out an AR 11 online to change the address, but there is a step two for pending cases that asks for a check receipt number for the i130 (this was ages ago), do i need to fill this out as well? My friend wrote the check and doesn't have the check number.

What else do i need to do?

this is one of them scary reasons to ASK to be pulled into secondary inspection at the POE - as 'in the back room' they'll take the address change.

for now - call USCIS, get a Tier 2 Human, an ISO,

and

go over the address with that human, todayish.

You are good to go actually and shouldn't need to call anyone or provide the check number from your I-130.

You are not a "pending case" after POE stamped approved in your passport so you should have skipped step 2 on the online change of address form, that's all.
