This has probably been discussed before, so I apologize in advance. But for I-130 petitions, are processing times through USCIS and NVC different between VWP and other countries.. Or low-fraud vs. high fraud countries? Or are processing times generally the same?

I read something recently that stated high marriage fraud, terrorist known countries and partial name hits have extra background checks to complete but they do not add on too much time, maybe a few days or couple weeks I guess.

But I have seen some middle east people recently get their NOA2 in DAYS so I am not truly believing much of anything except it is luck. Some people wait 8 months and some people get it in 10 days. There is no rhyme or reason. I think they try and process them in the order they come in but if they start getting behind in the 5 month goal of processing then they pull a petition that was just sent in to approve it so their average stays at 5 months.

No one knows for sure.

May 24, 2011 NOA1

Sept 11, 2011 NOA2-took 19 days to get case number

Sept 30, 2011 NVC number and IIN received Friday-gotta wait till Monday

Oct 13, 2011 Case Completed- 13 days from receiving case number Took 32 days from NOA2

Nov 30, 2011 Notified of Interview date

January 19, 2012 Interview- 240 days from NOA1

INTERVIEW RESULTS-APPROVED WITH 14 WEEKS AP--but he got his visa in 56 days!!!!!!

PLEASE EDIT YOUR TIMELINE IN YOUR PROFILE SO OTHERS CAN LEARN HOW LONG EACH STEP TAKES IN THIS PROCESS
